Glutaric anhydride is acerose or schistose crystal. It is soluble in alcohols, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform and carbon tetrachloride, but hardly in water and ethers. Change to glutaric acid after absorbing water. Sublime when heating up to 15 ¡æ (5mmHg).
